About us
QDArchive is a community-driven initiative to create an open-source, cloud-based environment for Qualitative Data Analysis (QDA) artifacts.
Our mission is to enable researchers to share verifiable data for peer review, allow distinct software ecosystems to communicate, and preserve the integrity of qualitative research for future generations.

Main features
Research Transparency
Allow reviewers and the public to audit empirical data and secondary analysis for true reproducibility.
Universal Interchange
Seamlessly import and export native files between MaxQDA, ATLAS.ti, NVivo, and REFI-QDA standards.
Cloud-Native Viewer
Inspect codes, memos, and primary media directly in your browser without purchasing commercial licenses.
Support and clarity
QDArchive handles the complexity of file conversion and secure storage so you can focus on the analysis.
A QDA Artifact is the complete set of your research context. This includes your 'Primary Data' (interview transcripts, audio, video, field notes) and your 'Secondary Data' (the codes, coding systems, memos, and networks created during analysis).
Yes. This is a core mission of QDArchive. We reverse-engineer native formats and utilize export standards to allow you to upload a project from one tool (e.g., MaxQDA) and download it for use in another (e.g., ATLAS.ti), or simply view it online.
Absolutely. We employ strict role-based access control (RBAC) and encryption. You decide who sees your data—whether it's a private team, a specific peer reviewer, or the public.
